The trouble is, you think you have time.
"You’ll never be completely at home again, because part of your heart will always be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place."
This sentence made me think a lot, I hope you all can read the real meaning of it...
You realise that you’ve changed all your plans for your life. You suddenly know that you can’t see beauty in living in a big house, having a cool car and working in a big city anymore. You just realised that the beauty in living are people. People from Asia, Europe, America, Africa, Oceania, people from all over the world. You suddenly realise you are missing people you’ve met during your adventures, and that being someone different as an exchange student made you realise in how different ways people are amazing. They have so much in their hearts to teach you, that you realise that you love people, no matter where they come from. And then you realise you don’t want to make plans anymore, you just want to meet new people and hug old friends every day.
That’s what exchange is all about: realising, opening your mind, learning to love, missing those you love and changing your priorities. Because after all, we are exchange students, we are the world, and nothing can stop us.
